Bugatti today released several new photos of the critically acclaimed Centodieci test car. We don't know if it's the same white car that debuted at Pebble Beach in 2019, but it's the same prototype we saw driving on the Nürburgring nearly a year ago. This is also the same prototype we saw in Freezer.
The last test on italy's legendary Nardò test track is now complete. With its high-speed track and handling routes, the Nardò Test Centre offers ideal conditions for intensive endurance testing. Bugatti said Centodieci conducted a stress test of 1,200 kilometers per day on this expansive track. This includes sprinting to the electronic limit of a top speed of 380 km/h, which is undoubtedly much lower than Chiron's 420 km/h limit. Although its body pays homage to the epic EB110 of the 1990s, the Centodieci's base is indeed a Chiron.
Carl Helenkot, Technical Project Manager at Bugatti, said: Centodieci deliberately pushed it to the limits to ensure reliable handling at the highest level even in extreme situations. Although most cars never make it into this range, it is still tested. That's the philosophy of the brand, and that's why we put so much effort into all of these tests. This, of course, is Bugatti's commitment to the highest quality standards, durability and customer satisfaction.
From here, Centodieci's remaining path is a final assessment of the trials and tribulations of the past year, and upon completion, Bugatti will begin delivering 10 of these cars, all 10 of which, if nothing else, will be delivered to the owners by the end of 2022.
