Professor Liu Tong uses a wealth of original archives, with a unique perspective, to see the big from the small, and restore many historical details. In particular, it has used new historical materials collected overseas by the Party History Research Office of the Shanghai Municipal CPC Committee and the Memorial Hall of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China in recent years, such as "The Cpc's Debut on the International Political Stage" and "Selected Archives of revolutionary Activities Before and After the Founding of the Cpc" translated and published from Russian and Japanese archives. Professor Liu Tong not only studied the historical materials to outline the text, but also touched historical sites and examined historical materials through searching and traveling, trying to return to the historical scene and feel the real atmosphere of history. Professor Liu's Profile:
Professor Liu Tong is a well-known expert in the history of the Communist Party of China and military history in China, and graduated from Shandong University and Fudan University with a doctorate in history. He was a researcher at the Academy of Military Sciences of the People's Liberation Army of the Chinese, with the rank of colonel, and is now a professor in the Department of History, School of Humanities, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
