Li wanted to say that when mass production, lidar will not be placed in the position of the cover shown in the picture, it should only be the placement of the test vehicle. If 2-3 lidar are used in the front, there is a high probability that it will be arranged on the bumper and fender, and the wind resistance and shape will be better, although the cost is higher. In addition, jidu automobile said that "the point cloud field of view of dual lidar is wider and safer, compared with the 120-degree FOV design of a single radar, the front of the dual radar can achieve horizontal 180 degrees OFV coverage, in the "ghost probe", left and right obstructions and other driving scenes, the ability to identify pedestrians or obstacles across the left and right is stronger.
