In the hardcore off-road SUV market, the Mercedes-Benz Big G, Wrangler and Land Rover Defender are the dream cars of many off-road enthusiasts. Unlike urban SUVs, these hardcore off-road SUVs have higher power output requirements, so they typically feature large-displacement engines. But to follow the trend, the Wrangler's 3.6L V6 engine has been replaced by a 2.0T four-cylinder turbocharged engine. Even now, when the development of electrification is in full swing, a plug-in hybrid power form has been added. The domestic off-road SUV is mainly more intelligent, but recently there are also domestic hard-core off-road SUVs that have made new progress in electrification, such as the BJ60. Of course, at present, BJ60 has not officially revealed which form of power to use. However, the hybrid "6" seconds given to break the hundred, and the level that can reach 1000 kilometers, still exposes its "charged" identity. Since they are all "charged" off-road SUVs, and they are also 2.0T engines, let's compare with the Wrangler 4xe to see how the BJ60 hybrid version is.
Augmentation or interpolation?

If the BJ60 adopts a plug-in hybrid structure, then to achieve a comprehensive endurance of thousands of kilometers, the fuel consumption in the state of power loss is a great test, and the efficiency of the engine "charging" also has high requirements, perhaps for this reason to "carry" a large-capacity fuel tank. In short, the BJ60's use of electrical energy is more thorough than the Wrangler plug-in.
Of course, if it is a range extender structure, completely dependent on electric drives, then in the case of ensuring performance and comprehensive endurance, I am afraid that a larger battery capacity must be used. Although the "clean" floor gives a loose battery layout environment, it is difficult to ensure the safety of the battery pack in the use scenarios of such models. Therefore, it is rare for most hardcore off-road SUVs to use range extender power structures. According to this theory, the BJ60 is much more convenient to use plug-in hybrid power. After all, the problem of battery layout can be minimized, and it is much easier to increase the tank capacity than to increase the battery pack. The space is not as large as the Wrangler, but there is intelligence?
Of course, as an off-road SUV, it must also be enough to "load". The BJ60 is positioned as a medium to large SUV with body sizes of 5020/1955/1925mm and a wheelbase of 2800mm. Although the Wrangler 4xe is defined as a medium-sized SUV, with a three-dimensional circumference of 4882/1894/1838 and a wheelbase of 3008mm, it can be seen that the BJ60 is a circle larger in body size.

But in intelligence, BJ60 is still not bad, yes you heard it right. Under the limitations of off-road scenes, the interior of most off-road SUVs is relatively "rugged". Taking the Wrangler 4xe as an example, its internal physical buttons are huge, the size of the central control screen is not large, it looks quite "primitive" feeling, of course, this is also to reduce the trouble caused by the damage of electronic equipment. At the same time, there is no lack of more practical configurations in the car, but the level of intelligence that young consumers care about may not be able to keep up with the pace.

In recent years, the development of domestic hardcore off-road SUVs is actually quite good, and it can be seen from their bodies that consumers are not exclusive to luxurious or high-tech interiors and more intelligent configurations. At least the two off-road SUVs of the tank brand have been generally recognized by consumers. Back to the BJ60, although it still maintains the consistent interior style of the BJ40, it has at least a sense of technology under the blessing of the full LCD instrument and the suspension central control screen. At the same time, some physical buttons are retained, such as air conditioning control and multi-function steering wheel, which can be used with physical buttons. According to the information released by the official, BJ60 can also realize the four-screen linkage function in the car, that is, the full LCD instrument, the central control screen, the head-up display and the "car smart watch" function for linkage. There will also be a panoramic sunroof, Lynch audio, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, front seat heating/ventilation, automatic parking, etc. In this sense, the BJ60 will be more playable than the Wrangler 4xe. However, compared with the domestic competitors of the same level, it is necessary to wait until more configuration news comes out to judge.
