Wang Shengyi, born in 1944 in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, graduated from Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1966. He has successively served as the vice president of the Hebei Landscape Painting Research Association, the director of the Hebei Provincial Artists Association, and the vice chairman of the Shijiazhuang Artists Association. For a long time, Wang Shengyi has been engaged in the creation of landscape painting, insisting on the basis of tradition, one hand reaching out to life and the other hand reaching out to modern consciousness. Deep into the Taihang Mountains for decades. After decades of hard work, his landscape painting creation has formed a unique artistic style with a strong northern mountain and river atmosphere and distinctive characteristics of the times. His fine art works have been selected for ten art exhibitions organized by the China Artists Association (one award).

Wang Shengyi graduated from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1966. During his studies at the college, on the one hand, he studied traditional landscape painting with Mr. Liu Junli, a landscape painting teacher, and on the other hand, he learned the knowledge of Chinese and Western paintings, including flower and bird painting, figure painting, drawing, color, etc. It should be regarded as a combination of master and apprentice and academic education, and was also the last batch of students who received formal traditional painting education before the Cultural Revolution. The education he received during his studies laid the foundation for his later development and influenced the path of artistic development he chose in the following decades. That is, there is a solid foundation for traditional painting and an ideological foundation for inheriting and developing traditional Chinese culture, and at the same time, there is also a knowledge and ideological foundation for drawing on Western painting.
