When implementing OTA upgrade activities, enterprises should ensure that automotive products comply with relevant requirements such as national laws and regulations, technical standards and technical specifications, so as to ensure the consistency of automotive product production. China Software Evaluation Center Intelligent Connected Vehicle Evaluation Engineering Technology Center (CCID Auto) relies on the only authorized "Intelligent Connected Vehicle Software Testing Center" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to provide automotive software upgrade testing and consulting services.
On April 15, 2022, the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the Notice on Carrying Out online upgrade filing of automotive software, requiring that automotive manufacturers that have obtained road motor vehicle production access licenses and their automotive vehicle products with OTA upgrade functions and OTA upgrade activities produced by them should be filed for the record. With the transformation of the automobile to intelligence, the importance of automotive software has gradually emerged. With the proliferation of software in intelligent connected vehicles, the corresponding software upgrade requirements increase, and the frequency of updating important security patches, bug fixes, and functional improvements will become higher and higher. By 2025, more than 250 million vehicles will have OTA upgrades. Because of its convenience, efficiency and low cost, automotive software OTA upgrade has gradually become an important way to upgrade intelligent and connected vehicles in the Internet of Vehicles environment. In this context, the supervision and management of automotive software OTA upgrades has become an important task.
Relying on the testing capability of the "Intelligent Connected Vehicle Software Testing Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology", in accordance with the UN WP.29 regulation SUMS and ISO24089, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China [2021] No. 103 "Opinions of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Strengthening the Management of Intelligent Connected Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Access" and the national mandatory standard "General Technical Requirements for Automotive Software Upgrade", the construction of OEM automotive software upgrade (OTA) management system, Product development and acceptance to provide consulting and testing services.
Consulting services: provide complete solutions for enterprise-level requirements, project-level requirements, and vehicle product requirements. We provide consulting services in terms of management capacity building, functional compliance construction, and upgrade activity construction of automotive software OTA upgrades.
Testing services: As one of the leading units in the formulation of the national mandatory standard "General Technical Requirements for Automotive Software Upgrades", CCID Auto is one of the first batch of testing institutions in China to carry out national standard verification, with professional automotive software upgrade testing capabilities, according to the standard to detect the correctness of OTA upgrades, offline upgrade functions and the effectiveness of information security protection. At present, a number of automotive software upgrade test services have been carried out, covering different models of electric vehicles, fuel vehicles and hybrid vehicles of domestic and foreign car companies.
