At a peak of 251 horsepower, Mazda has released specifications for a new 3.3-litre straight-six diesel engine

Earlier last month, Mazda unveiled the new CX-60 SUV developed for the European, Japanese, Australian and other markets, a major highlight is the replacement of a new chassis platform, and for the first time to provide a 2.5-liter four-cylinder PHEV plug-in oil, a new 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder gasoline, 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder diesel and other rich power formations. Recently, the plant further released information about the specifications of the new 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine, in addition to the traditional pure internal combustion engine option (Skyactiv D), but also provides a 48V light oil electric (e-Skyactiv D) configuration for consumers to choose.

The new 3.3-litre Skyactiv D/e-Skyactiv D inline six-cylinder engine, with a displacement of 3,283c .c, improves fuel efficiency by reworking the concave-top piston multilayer combustion chamber, which is called DCCI layered control premix compression ignition technology. First look at the traditional Skyactiv D power unit, which has a 228hp/51kgm output value, and the maximum torque output can be released at 1,500 rpm and extended to 3,000 rpm.

As for the 3.3-liter e-Skyactiv D, an additional 48V MHEV light oil electric power technology is introduced, with a 17hp water-cooled electric motor and a 0.33kWh lithium-ion battery, and the power output is further explored to 251hp/56.1kgm (1,500~2,400rpm). Taking the CX-60 as an example, combined with the eight-speed automatic speedbox and the i-Activ AWD full-time four-wheel drive system, it can complete the stationary breakthrough acceleration in 7.3 seconds, and the extreme speed reaches the level of 220km/h. As for Mazda's newly developed 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder Skyactiv-G gasoline engine, the plant has not yet disclosed specifications.
