Mazda is currently advancing product development for electric vehicles at full speed. According to sources, the Japanese sports car manufacturer will launch three brand new electric models by 2025.
At present, Mazda has only one pure electric vehicle model in the sale - CX-30 EV, from the name can know the relationship between this car and the ordinary version of CX-30, obviously can not be called a more eye-catching pure electric product.
According to the Current Plan of the Japanese Company, Mazda will complete the development of a new pure electric platform, Skyactiv EV (Chuang chi Blue Sky EV), by 2025, which can adapt to many types of vehicles, from hatchbacks to large SUVs. Mazda also plans to launch a number of models based on the new architecture in the short term, bringing three pure electric vehicles by 2025. At the same time, Mazda will also make full use of the current mature electrification technology and further improve its technology.
Mazda has not yet announced detailed specifications for the new platform, but it is reported that the new platform will be the first to launch an All-Electric model in the size of the Onxella class.
Although Mazda has applied most of its financial resources to investments related to the pure electric vehicle sector, the company has not given up on the internal combustion engine. By 2025, Mazda will launch five new hybrid models and five plug-in hybrid models. In addition, Mazda also said that the new generation of fuel powertrain will have higher fuel thermal efficiency, further reducing emissions. The new internal combustion engine models will continue to be based on the scalable Skyactiv platform.
