Toyota Motor said that after 25 years of unremitting efforts, its global sales of electrified models have exceeded 20 million.
According to Toyota data, the cumulative fuel savings of the electrified models are about 65 billion liters, which is about equal to the total gasoline consumption of Beijing in 14 years; the carbon dioxide emission reduction is 160 million tons, which is equivalent to the carbon dioxide absorbed by the forest of the stadium (bird's nest) in more than 20,000 countries in a year.
Toyota Motor has been committed to the research and development and promotion of new energy models, previously taking hybrid and dual engine power as the technical direction, domestic sales of prius, Camry, Lexus brand and other new energy models, but also vigorously develop hydrogen engine power models. In December 2021, Toyota Motor launched 16 electric models in a row, and it plans to launch 30 electric vehicles by 2030, when sales of pure electric models will reach 3.5 million.
