Toyota unveiled its first pure electric vehicle bZ4X concept car at the Shanghai Auto Show last year, and in less than a year, this car uses the Toyota e-TNGA electric vehicle platform, positioning the pure electric compact SUV model is about to be officially mass-produced, and is expected to be launched in June this year.
The appearance part, the new car to change the previous Toyota model to give people a moderate image, the use of new energy models commonly used closed grille shape, above is a chrome trim strip that runs across the front face, and with the sharp shape of the two sides of the daytime running lights connected, the light group inside the use of four LED light sources to form a matrix shape, to ensure the exquisite sense and recognition of the front face. Combined with the imitation air intake design of the polyline shape on both sides of the front bumper, it creates a strong sense of power.
The contrast at the side fenders is eye-catching, creating a wide-body-like effect that enhances the sportiness of the bodywork. The bold and exaggerated shape of the bZ4X tail not only has a penetrating taillight, but also has a reverse C-shaped design on the edge of the taillight group, which creates a low and dynamic body posture with the raised shape on the tailgate, while the blackened exterior mirrors and the blackened square wheel eyebrows bring a good tough atmosphere to the whole car; while the black trim that extends downwards echoes the design of the whole vehicle to a certain extent.
Its length, width and height are 4690/1860/1650mm, and the wheelbase is 2850mm.
In the interior part, the new car adopts an oversized irregular central control screen shape, and a racing-style special-shaped steering wheel, which are a highlight of the bZ4X.
However, tesla model S Plaid, which was also equipped with this yoke steering wheel before, is not convenient to operate and has caused a lot of controversy because it is not synchronously equipped with wire control technology. However, the yoke steering wheel will not be installed immediately, and the domestic models listed in the early stage are still equipped with traditional steering wheels.
Power part, because the bZ4X provides two forms of power, front drive and four-wheel drive, so the front-drive version of the motor maximum power of 150kW, 0-100km/h acceleration time of 8.4 seconds, cruising range of about 500km; the four-wheel drive version of the front and rear motor maximum power is 80kW, 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.7 seconds, cruising range of about 460km, but also the use of Subaru's X-MODE off-road technology. At the same time, all models can be charged to 80% of the power in 30 minutes.
In addition, the bZ4X will also provide a solar charging dome, which can use solar power to generate 12V power or power batteries, and absorb about 1800 km of energy per year for vehicles, which should also be the first electric vehicle that can generate its own electricity.
In other configurations, the new car is equipped with soundproof glass, steering wheel heating, seat heating, front seat under-foot radiation heater, etc., and provides fixed sunroofs, roof luggage racks, front cameras, reversing radar, rain sensors, solar panel roofs, and on-board ETC. It is also equipped with the latest TSS3.0 Toyota Safety Sense security system.
As the pioneer of Toyota electric vehicles, the bZ4X will be produced by FAW Toyota, and will be produced in GAC Toyota in the future, but it is still unknown whether the design and name will change.
