1, the team is quite important, the number of cars can collect data.

First of all, Robotaxi's fleet is quite important, and if there are not enough fleets, it is impossible to collect sufficient and effective data.

Xiao Jianxiong said that some assisted driving cars are equipped with many sensors, such as lidar, high-definition lidar, high-definition cameras and other sensors, but there is not enough storage space. In this case, the data collected by the sensor cannot be effectively stored, and the quality of the data is worrying.

In addition to the sensors of the car, the number of autonomous vehicles should also be sufficient, and the quality and quantity of data should be improved at the same time. AutoX has built an autonomous vehicle fleet of more than 1,000 L4-class vehicles with high-definition sensors, sufficient storage resources, and data processing capabilities.

2. To achieve the commercialization of Robotaxi, the coverage area should be large.

Having a large fleet of vehicles and collecting enough data is not enough to achieve commercialization. To truly commercialize Robotaxi, it is important that the area covered by Robotaxi must be large enough.

A very important prerequisite for the commercialization of Robotaxi is to be able to serve a sufficiently large area. If it is only tested in a certain area, it is only a pure technical improvement and has no commercial value.

So, Robotaxi wants to really enter the daily life of consumers, which means that the area needs to be large enough. For example, ordinary consumers can pull out their mobile phones in scenarios such as going to school, going to work or buying vegetables, and they can call an unmanned car, regardless of time and space factors.

AutoX is constantly expanding the ODD (Design and Operation Area for Autonomous Driving), and the total area of ODD currently exceeds 1,000 square kilometers.

Another important factor in the commercialization of Robotaxi was the removal of the security officer. If there is a safety officer in the car, then the Robotaxi cannot be called a driverless car, and at the same time, the company also has to pay the safety officer salary, which is essentially no different from the traditional taxi.

Therefore, robotaxi is gradually removed from the security officer during the commercialization process. AutoX is also gradually moving towards this goal, and has cooperated with the Government of Pingshan District of Shenzhen to build the largest completely unmanned autonomous driving domain in China and even in the world, with a total area of 168 square kilometers.
