The AutoX RoboTax fleet numbers more than 1,000 units

On February 9, AutoX announced that the Robotaxi fleet has exceeded 1,000 units, becoming the largest fully driverless RobotTaxi fleet in China and even in the world.

Previously, the world's largest Robotaxi fleet came from Waymo, the parent company of Google, with a fleet size of about 800 units, including Chrysler Pacifica Grand Jaylon and Jaguar I-Pace. The autonomous driving fleet of other domestic companies is in the order of 100 - 300 units.

At present, the number of AutoX RoboTaxi fleet has surpassed Waymo, and thousands of vehicles are fully driverless, and the main model is the Grand Jaylon, which is ready for the large-scale landing of Robotaxi.

Unlike most self-driving companies' multi-segment track layout and multi-legged walking strategy, AutoX has always focused on creating a truly all-unmanned RoboTaxi. This is reflected in many aspects such as test area, operational capabilities, and talent strategies.

First of all, AutoX has accumulated a large number of autonomous driving scenarios through large-scale, high-density first-tier city operations, ensuring that it has the large-scale landing capability of Robotaxi in Chinese cities.

At present, the total number of unmanned vehicles of more than 1,000 units is mainly distributed in the four first-tier cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. As of February 2022, AutoX's Robotaxi autonomous driving domain totals more than 1,000 square kilometers, making it currently the world's largest Robotaxi autonomous driving area.

Secondly, in order to support the high-density testing and operation of more than 1,000 unmanned vehicles in a large area of more than 1,000 square kilometers, AutoX has established ten major operation centers around the world. In Shenzhen alone, AutoX has built four major operation centers, covering Nanshan, Futian, Pingshan and other districts, with a full range of network coverage of the operation area. At present, AutoX has the largest multi-Robotaxi operation center in the country and even the world, forming a perfect operating network.

AutoX's top ten operation centers are all professional operation of large-scale RoboTaxi fleet and built a complete set of Robotaxi operation and maintenance system, the center is equipped with charging piles, high-speed networks, lifts, sensor calibration turntables and other professional operation and maintenance equipment, support from vehicle maintenance, repair, cleaning, maintenance, technical operation and maintenance, calibration, testing, verification, to software and hardware upgrades and other all-round standardization and automation operations.

On the other hand, AutoX insists on investing in the real unmanned RoboTaxi hard-core technology, and currently has a R&D technical team of more than 1,000 people, covering the five major R&D centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Silicon Valley. In 2022, AutoX will continue to increase recruitment efforts and add another 1,000 autonomous driving technology jobs.

In addition to long-term investment in testing, operation and talent, AutoX's first fully driverless super factory in China has also laid a solid foundation for the large-scale landing of the all-unmanned RoboTaxi.

In July last year, the AutoX "Gigafactory" was officially completed, designed and built for mass production of truly driverless cars, which can ensure the quality and consistency of the production of each unmanned vehicle. Since the use of the production line, the full line has been maintained and the high-speed mass production has been maintained.

The thousands of AutoX fully unmanned fleets released this time are All RoboTaxi, which are rolled off the production line by the AutoX Unmanned Vehicle Super Factory, and each of them can reach the level of full unmanned. The main model of the fleet is the Grand Jaylon model cooperated by AutoX and Stellantis (FCAChrysler), which has a full set of vehicle-level redundancy systems, including redundant wire control systems, to meet the safety requirements of truly all people. So far, AutoX remains Chrysler's only partner in China.

Each unmanned vehicle is equipped with AutoX Gen5 fifth-generation fully unmanned driving system, ultra-high-definition ultra-high computing power, relying on massive Mileage training in China's first-line downtown areas, and providing the ultimate security performance in all aspects of software and hardware. AutoX Gen5 is a full-stack self-developed integration of software and hardware, which maximizes the cost reduction through full-stack hardware self-research, and the price reaches the lowest in the industry under the same configuration.

AutoX's fifth-generation RoboTaxi production rolls off the production line

AutoX's unremitting investment in the real landing field of Robotaxi is the first autonomous driving company in China to enter the test of the cbd downtown area of the first-tier city - as early as 2017, autoX unmanned vehicles began to test the core bustling road conditions in Shenzhen, and accumulated the industry's highest prosperous complex road conditions mileage.

Since April 2020, autoX has made great strides in the fully unmanned RoboTaxi field. In January 2020, AutoX launched China's first fully unmanned hardware system with L4/L5 level on-board domain controller and vehicle-level redundant wire control, becoming China's first Hardware-Ready RoboTaxi; in July last year, It completed And put into use China's first fully unmanned Robotaxi "super factory"; in January 2022, it built China's largest autonomous driving domain, exceeding 1,000 square kilometers.

This time, AutoX RoboTaxi has made another breakthrough, and thousands of fully unmanned RoboTaxi carry the mission of AutoX's civilian autonomous driving: to create the most advanced Robotaxi technology and products, and accelerate the transformation of the world to fully unmanned travel.
