Recently, according to overseas media, at the annual meeting of Porsche, Porsche announced that the future 718 Boxster/Cayman model will launch a pure electric version, and its Porsche 911 will also launch a hybrid version. It is reported that Porsche's new generation of pure electric models will retain the mid-engine structure design, and the new car is expected to be officially launched as a 2025 model at the end of 2024.

In terms of configuration, the Porsche 718 electric version may be built using the design concept of the Mission R concept car released last year, which is equipped with dual motors and a maximum power of 800kW, which is the first two-door two-seat pure electric sports car launched by Porsche. Porsche's all-electric model will place the battery in the middle of the front and rear axles to preserve the mid-mounted structure of the powertrain, so that the driver can get the same driving experience as the fuel version of the model.
Porsche also announced that it will build its own charging stations, which will directly benchmark Tesla-style charging infrastructure. Porsche's premium charging stations will be launched first in high-demand regions such as Germany, Austria and Germany, followed by key regions such as China and North America.
