10-year-old children love to write poetry, parents do these 3 actions, children are expected to become poetry masters

Although it has been a while since the Beijing Winter Olympics, there are many wonderful and touching moments that are unforgettable. Here I would like to share a poem about the Beijing Winter Olympics written by my daughter Runqi at the beginning of the school year (the original poem, without any polishing).

Perhaps it was because the poetry was flourishing at that time, and the small author only relied on the memory of watching the CCTV Winter Olympic Games program during the winter vacation, and almost wrote this long poem of nearly a thousand words in one go.

Although this poem has many shortcomings and hard wounds, it is undeniable that a child who is only ten years old can write such a long poem in forty minutes, which is indeed not simple, and even older children can hardly write such a poem, which surprises many people around me.

In fact, when we look around, we rarely see children who can write poetry, which inevitably gives people a feeling that the threshold of poetry is high and unattainable. Many of us parents therefore attribute their children's ability to write poetry to talent.

Therefore, many people around me have questioned: Is your child talented in writing this kind of poetry?

In fact, from the beginning of my daughter's birth, like all her peers, there is no special talent in poetry, but the day after tomorrow through the guidance of our parents, the child began to be close to and in love with poetry, like to tinker with poetry, and this hobby did not affect the study, on the contrary, her grades in various subjects have always been among the best in the class, especially in language subjects.

Looking back on the experience of leading my children into the country of poetry, my biggest feeling is that if parents do the following 3 actions correctly, children are expected to become poetry masters.

1. Use high-quality reading to improve children's cognitive ability and the height of pattern

In the most imaginative childhood of children, we must provide them with the most nourishing spiritual food, and what kind of spiritual food we can provide them at this time almost determines the height of his cognitive ability and pattern in the future.

There are two basic principles for me to choose books for my children, one is to carefully check and carefully select excellent classic books recognized by everyone; the other is to encourage and guide children to challenge more in-depth and connotative reading.

I remember that when my daughter was in the second grade, she picked up a thick tome of three hundred Tang poems and was reading it curiously. At this time, I wasted no time in praising the child first, praising the child for being so great that he could understand the original Tang poems that only adults could understand. When the child said this, he instantly aroused the desire to finish the book. Since then, the primary school version recommended by the teacher has been beaten into the "cold palace" with 75 books of Tang poems, and replaced by this tome of three hundred Tang poems, obviously, the child's reading taste has been improved.

Later, as she grew older, my daughter began to dabble in original books such as Song Ci, ShiJing, and Chu Ci, and her knowledge became more and more extensive. The ancients said, "Familiar with the three hundred Tang poems, can not compose poems but also chant", in the process of reading, children also gradually cultivated a certain sense of poetry. This sense of language provides quite favorable conditions for children's creation of poetry.

2. Read poems, taste poems, and compile poems with your children, so that poetry becomes fun and interesting in the eyes of children

If you want your child to really fall in love with poetry, it is not simply to ask your child to memorize poetry, this kind of task-based learning will only become a burden for children, even if the child memorizes a lot of poetry with good memory, he will not experience the joy of reciting poetry.

If parents can often read, taste and write poems with their children, or combine various game methods with poetry, such as flying flower order, poetry solitaire, improvised poetry, etc., so that poetry becomes a fun and interesting game in the eyes of children.

3. Always treat each of your children's works with an appreciative eye

Many parents are complaining that their children do not like to write, and it is more difficult to write poetry. Compared with the so-called writing skills rules, the continuous motivation of parents to their children is more important. When parents always treat each of their children's works with an appreciative eye, this can give children unlimited creative motivation.

Compared with the more disciplined way for adults to write poetry, we cannot use various rules to limit children's creation in poetry, especially in the stage of enlightenment and cultivating interest. Making a child's childhood more poetic is an important thing in this stage. After this interest of the child becomes a habit, the child generally does not need to be urged by others, and he will take the initiative to study how to write poetry better.

The poems my daughter created at the beginning seemed childish, but I never ignored them, but treated them as a masterpiece, and did not hesitate to comment and praise. This kind of heartfelt encouragement realizes the sense of achievement and value of children's poetry creation, which is then transformed into a huge motivation, and since then children have become more and more fond of poetry creation.

Now, even if she is busy with her homework, she has to squeeze out time to write one or two poems every day, and this habit has become a part of her life.

Confucius Ziyun: "Poetry can be prosperous, can be observed, can be grouped, can be complained..." It can be seen that there are many benefits of learning poetry. Cultivating children's interest in writing poetry is a very meaningful thing in my opinion, and I hope that every child can go further in the country of poetry!
