Normally speaking, the shell ratio of cylindrical batteries can be more than 97%, while the square shell battery is only about 90%.

However, this situation will soon change, according to the latest news, Tesla's 4860 battery is about to be mass production, this new battery using stepless ear technology to reduce the impedance of the battery itself. It will have 5.5 times the capacity of the existing 2170 battery, and after reducing the space occupied by the internal materials, the energy density of the new battery will be greater, which will increase the battery life of the new car by 16% and reduce the cost by 14%.
