In addition, according to the forecast data of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the sales of new energy vehicles in mainland China will exceed 5 million in 2022, an increase of up to 47%.

This is also one of the reasons why Lei Jun led Xiaomi into the new energy automobile industry. At present, the reshuffle of the automotive industry has also begun.
The world's most valuable car company is no longer a traditional brand such as Toyota and Volkswagen. Instead, Tesla, a new energy vehicle giant in the United States. As of the close of trading on March 8, Tesla had a market capitalization of $852 billion, making it the largest automotive group to be deserved. At the same time, as the largest automobile market in the mainland, giants in the field of new energy vehicles have also emerged.

In February this year, BYD's sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 88,000 units, up 753% year-on-year, and only 10,400 units in the same period last year. From January to February, BYD's cumulative sales of new energy vehicles reached 181,500 units, an increase of 494.28% year-on-year.
If you look back at the past 2021, BYD has also achieved brilliant results. According to its new car sales data for the whole year of 2021, BYD sold a total of 730093 passenger cars in 2021, an increase of 75.4% year-on-year. Among them, the performance of new energy vehicles is particularly eye-catching, with annual sales of 593745 units, an increase of 231.6% year-on-year.
At present, BYD's sales of new energy vehicles have accounted for 81% of the total sales of passenger cars. In 2021, BYD's annual sales of new energy vehicles have also overpowered many new energy vehicle companies such as Tesla China, Weilai, Ideal, and Xiaopeng, ranking first in China. From a global perspective, Tesla's global electric vehicle market share in 2021 is 14.4%, while BYD ranks second in the world with a market share of 9.1%. Obviously, at present, BYD's sharp edge is even approaching the industry's "brother" Tesla.
Under the huge outlet of new energy vehicles in the future, BYD has preemptively occupied the head position, which also shows that the market and consumers recognize and affirm it. Of course, we will see if BYD can bring us more surprises.
