Halo: Infinity Season 2 "Lone Wolf": New Maps, New Modes

The second season of Halo: Infinity was finally announced after an infinite postponement, and it will introduce new battle passes, maps, and modes to wait. Here's everything we know so far.

Anticipation for the second season of Halo: Infinity has been brewing for a long time. The first season was launched as early as November 2021, which means there were almost four months without a transition to the new season.

However, Joseph Staten, creative director for Halo: Infinity, outlined a roadmap for the future and revealed some details in the announcement about when the second season arrives and how that has changed.

Release date

The second season of Halo: Infinity kicked out on May 3 and is expected to last three months. However, given the delayed time between the first and second seasons, it could last longer if unforeseen issues arise.

Battle Pass

No details have been revealed about Halo: Infinity Season 2 Battle Pass. However, it's expected to have 100 floors with a variety of different trinket rewards – no different from the Battle Pass of the first season.

But that doesn't mean there won't be some changes, and 343 Studios is planning to make changes based on feedback, including that players can use in-game credits to earn back the share they paid.

Added maps

Studio 343 confirmed that Halo: Infinity will feature two new maps for the second season. The first is a large team combat map called "Breaker", which appears to be centered on a location themed in an arid desert.

The second map, "Catalyst," is much smaller, which is not surprising, as it is an arena map, inside and around a building that looks like an abandoned old laboratory covered with two layers of moss.

Added game modes

In addition to the new map, the developers also announced that they would be adding three new modes, the first being the "Spartan Warrior who last stood," which they described as a "elimination mode of free competition."

The second is the popular "King of the Hills" model. As the name suggests, it's about comparing which player stays the longest on the hill. It can be used both as a free competition mode and as a team battle mode.

The third is "Plunder territory", which is a mixture of "King of the Hills" and another classic mode, "Stronghold". Players need to fight to seize control of the five lands scattered across the map, which cannot be retaken.
