Halo Infinite released the official trailer for the second season of "Lone Wolf" in multiplayer mode, and confirmed that the new season content will be released on May 3.
The list of Arena games for the second season will get "Catalyst," a small-scale map that looks set on some sort of forerunner structure. At the same time, large team battles will receive a new map called "Breaker". The season two trailer shows some of the map's exterior.
In any case, if 343 had intended to continue to add two additional maps each season, that speed would have gotten Halo Infinity on track, not to mention a bunch of halo-sparing maps from previous games.
The most curious thing is that the trailer finally appears to be a new game mode, which according to the official saying is a "free elimination mode", but it is not clear about the release date and details such as rules. Data miners believe it will be a 24-person elimination model, similar to a miniature battle royale.
For some time, the coverage surrounding Halo: Infinity has been that the game, which once confidently stood on top of the 2021 FPS game, has fallen off a cliff.
