Zhongnan Mountain, a section of the Qinling Mountains, is a sacred place for the mainstream Quanzhen sect of Taoism. Most of the officials and gentry of the Tang Dynasty built villas here, of which Wang Wei's Yuanchuan villa was the most prestigious.
In Zhongnan Town, the Song "Chang'an Zhi" records that after Emperor Wu of Song entered the pass, he built a city in the west of Zhongnan Town, and the southern people's homesickness was named "Xiangsi City". There is a hard stone in the city, and the village is named after the stone, called DajianShi Village. Qing Yongzheng's "Reconstruction of the Louguan Jingtai Stele" records that because of its topography, it is divided into east Dajian and west Dajian.

Zhao Weitang was born in the township, which is his favorable condition for choosing to paint flowers and birds, the strength of heaven and place, that is, there is daily observation and practical life in the countryside, and he jumps the idyllic scenery on rice paper.
Zhao Weitang learned to paint at the age of 17, and often ran a board newspaper and wall painting when he was studying. After graduating from school in 1979, he began to move towards painting in order to aspire, and for decades, he had a successful study. Teacher Zhao Weitang takes the strengths of all the families and integrates them into his own painting style, without losing the interest of ancient will, and his works are elegant and windy.
In painting plum blossoms, Zhao Weitang fully uses the pen and ink of calligraphy to highlight the trend of plum blossoms, using flying white, the mood of the pen end is constantly meaning, the center turns to the flank to produce a virtual effect, and finally folds back with a shaking pen and melts into the calligraphic meaning. Boldly use the pen to use wave ink to be realistic, combining virtual and real, such as "mountain falling stone" into the wood three points. There is a sense of strength and heaviness.
Zhao Weitang's calligraphy and painting works have a reasonable layout, no branches, dry and mixed, complement each other, harmonious rhythm, both gods and forms, at a glance, pleasing to the eye. People say that it is simple but not simple, lush and not cumbersome.
