On the afternoon of March 2, the fire collection and torch relay starting ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games was held at the Temple of Heaven Park.
Eight tinders collected in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou, together with the tinder collected in Mandeville, England, a total of 9 tinders converged to form the official tinder of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games. Earlier on March 2, the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Torch Relay Urban Tinder Collection Ceremony was held at the Circular Hill of Temple of Heaven Park.

At 13:30, the Temple of Heaven Circular Hill first held the "Summer Fire" city gathering. At the 15:00 ceremony, including the "Summer Olympic Fire", 8 fires collected in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou, together with a total of 9 fires collected in Mandeville, England, the birthplace of the Paralympic Games, were gathered to become the official flames of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games.
The tinder stage of the Torch Relay of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games and the torch relay starting ceremony is shaped from the traditional Chinese bronze ceremonial vessel "Zun".
The auspicious cloud pattern on the Tinder stage turns into snowflakes down and up, which also symbolizes the spiritual inheritance from the Beijing Paralympic Games to the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games.
After the official tinder is generated, the torchbearer will hold aloft the torch from the square, pass through the New Year's Gate, and pass the torch in the Temple of Heaven Park. The Winter Paralympic Torch will be passed in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou.
It is understood that a total of 565 torchbearers participated in the torch relay, of which 21% were disabled people, and many enthusiastic disabled people. During the three-day relay, the Beijing Winter Paralympic Torch will pass through Zhangjiakou Civic Square, Beijing World Garden Park, and the beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee. On the afternoon of the 3rd, the torch will also be passed in the south park of the Olympic Forest Park in a closed loop.
