FaW and BYD joint venture battery project settled in Changchun
On February 27, China FAW officially said that the power battery project of FAW Fordi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was officially started in Changchun City, Jilin Province on February 26. It is reported that the total investment of the project is 13.5 billion yuan, the project covers an area of 800,000 square meters, the total production capacity of 45GWh, the project will meet the supporting needs of 1 million electric vehicles after full production, to achieve an output value of more than 20 billion yuan. According to the data, FAW Fordy New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was incorporated on January 15 this year, and the shareholders of the company include Fordi Industrial Co., Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of BYD) and FAW Equity Investment (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of FawC, China), with a shareholding ratio of 51% and 49% respectively.

Ford receives a new facial recognition patent
According to foreign media reports, Ford Global Technologies, The technology arm of Ford Motor Co., Ltd., announced that it has obtained a patent for a facial recognition system built into the vehicle. The system recognizes the driver and unlocks the doors within line of sight. It is reported that the basic technology is relatively simple in terms of the standard of facial biometrics and monitoring, and belongs to the vehicle installation and planned installation of facial recognition systems as a follow-up product.
