Because the outside changes rapidly, but what is in the root does not change, and it is unique and eternal.
What Wang Yangming's mind wants to teach us is that unchanging thing, that is, the road between heaven and earth. In his view, each of us is born with self-sufficiency, there is no need for external seeking, the inner conscience is innate, we only need to awaken it in everything, and naturally we will understand the truth of everything in the world.
Before Wang Yangming, Zhu Xi was already a world-renowned sage, and his teachings ruled academia for hundreds of years, and almost no one questioned it.
However, Zhu Xi chose a road of no return, he turned all his eyes to the external world, advocated that people work things and things, and gridded the heavenly principles contained in nothing.
Wang Yangming was once also a little fan of Zhu Zi, but when he tested his truth, he was deeply affected, and since then he has understood that this road is not feasible, and only by finding another way can he become a sage.
Yang MingXin theory proposes that each of us is born equal, and we also have the conscience of the saints, but the heavenly reason in our own hearts is blinded by selfish desires. So we don't need to be silly and ask for it, just ask the square inch in our hearts.
This conclusion was so shocking that even his disciples, who admired him the most, initially believed it. His most proud disciple and brother-in-law Xu Ai once raised his own confusion.
He said, sir, you say that the mind is reasonable, all the truths are in the heart, I think there are still some things that have to be obtained by seeking outwards.
Wang Yangming said that although the mind is the reason, although it sounds very simple, but where it can be understood in a day or two, you should try to give an example, talk about what things need to be asked for.
Xu Ai said, such as filial piety to parents, of course, you must know how to make them cool in the summer, so as not to be hurt by the hot heat; in winter, you must learn how to keep your parents warm and not let them suffer from the invasion of the cold.
The so-called supreme good is to study these truths to the extreme.
Wang Yangming sighed, if you are truly filial to your parents in your heart, in the summer, of course, you will know to fan them, blow fans, and turn on air conditioners; in winter, you will naturally understand that you must dress them more, cover them with thick quilts, and turn on heating.
You have these truths in your heart, do you still have to go to your parents to learn them? If the real truth comes through outward learning, then in a day or two these truths can be finished, where is the need to "think carefully, discern, and act?" ”
If those external forms are the ultimate good, then those excellent actors and actors with outstanding performance ability are not the most filial people?
Wang Yangming has experienced two "three changes" in his life, one is the "three changes of learning". From the initial belief in Confucianism, because of the blow of ge zhuzi, he turned to Taoism and Shijia, and later Ryuba enlightenment, and then firmly returned to sacred learning.
The other is the three changes of the Tao, which initially proposed the mind as reason, later proposed the unity of knowledge and action, and finally in his later years, he only talked about "to conscience", always reminding his disciples to focus on conscience and use conscience to observe things and things.

But Wang Yangming's mental science seems simple, it is actually very difficult to truly enlighten, we need to always mention the conscience in our hearts, every time we come to things, we use conscience to generate hair, do not let conscience be blinded. That is, the "sincerity" in "University".
