Words and things must be both knowledgeable, sincere, and righteous, and then their skills are prepared and secret.

When we talk about things, we must also talk about knowledge, sincerity, and righteousness, so that the cultivation of kung fu can be rigorous and complete.
Hu Tianshan people interpret:
Mr. Yang Ming here emphasized the unity of the various efforts of Gewu, Zhizhi, Righteousness, and Sincerity. Each of the various kinds of kung fu has its own role and significance, but in the final analysis, they are all kung fu of "conscience", and the kung fu of "conscience" ultimately has to reach the state of "great use of the whole", not to understand the mind and body, part or several aspects of conscience, as long as there is nothing clear and inthorough in the mind and conscience, it cannot be regarded as truly enlightened.
Therefore, Mr. Yang Ming emphasized that "words and objects must be combined with knowledge, sincerity, and righteousness", and pointed out that the practice must be rigorous and complete in order to comprehend the "great use of the whole" of the essence of the mind.
