In the future, 12 test vehicles will be tested on public roads designated in Chengdu for autonomous driving.

Specifically, in accordance with the provisions of the "Implementation Rules for the Administration of Road Testing of Intelligent Connected Vehicles in Chengdu (Trial)", 12 intelligent networked vehicles (including 4 pure electric city buses and 8 pure electric cars) of Apollo Zhixing Information Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. conducted simulated scene real vehicle tests at the temporary closed test site of Sino-German intelligent networked vehicles, which were reviewed by the Chengdu Intelligent Connected Vehicle Road Test Expert Group and approved by the Chengdu Economic and Information Bureau, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and the Municipal Transportation Bureau. The Chengdu Municipal Public Security Traffic Management Bureau recently officially issued the first batch of road test vehicle number plates in Chengdu to Apollo Zhixing Information Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd.

The issuance of the first batch of intelligent networked vehicle road test vehicles is an important milestone in the development of intelligent networked vehicles in Chengdu and even Sichuan Province, marking the official entry of Chengdu's automobile industry from the "traditional automobile era" to the "intelligent automobile era".
