Tianfu Humanities and Art Library is located in Tianfu Art Park, the architectural design is inspired by Du Shi's "Window Contains Xiling Thousand Autumn Snow", and the architectural form symbolizes the rolling peaks. The whole building closely integrates tianfu culture and has great regional characteristics, which is a typical example of helping Chengdu build a park city demonstration area.
"I think a city still needs a large comprehensive library." Xiao Ping, director of Chengdu Library, told Red Star News that moving the natural landscape to the indoor reading space can allow readers to have a sense of comfort in reading between natural landscapes and rivers, hoping that readers can feel the kindness of reading on the earth in the layered "book mountain".

Compared with traditional libraries, the Tianfu Humanities and Arts Library also has different book booths in addition to the shelves. "We named these book booths lead reading, which is to lead reading." Xiao Ping introduced that these books are the best quality books selected by the experts and scholars of the library in a period of time, and readers will know which books are necessary to read when they reach the reading desk.
Tianfu Humanities and Arts Library, as the theme branch of Chengdu Library, has diversified functional areas such as reader lending area, children's reading center, living aesthetics hall, Traditional Chinese Studies Study Hall, Chengdu Documentation Museum, international humanities and art exchange center, etc., aiming to provide the general public with a living aesthetic space integrating reading, leisure, aesthetics, art experience and cultural exchange.

At the same time, the library is rich in ancient book resources, located in the ancient books department on the first floor of the library, with more than 110,000 volumes of various ancient books and Republic of China line bound books, which are divided into three categories: ancient books (including Republic of China line bound books), Republic of China paperback books, and new editions of photocopied ancient books. According to the traditional classification of ancient books, the collection of ancient books is divided into five parts: classics, history, sub-collections, collections, and clusters, of which the history department has the largest number of books, accounting for about a quarter of the total. The characteristic documents in the collection of ancient books mainly include Chengdu local historical materials, genealogies, Sichuan opera singing books, and works by famous people of Bashu culture.
In the ancient book storehouse, wooden bookcases are displayed in an orderly manner. It is understood that the ancient book warehouse adopts national standards, and constant temperature and humidity ensure the protection of ancient books. The wooden bookcase adopts a mortise and tenon structure, and the wood carving of the bookcase is very Tianfu culture.

Chengdu Literature Museum is located on the first floor of tianfu Humanities and Arts Library, the design style refers to the library of Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, the main space is presented in the form of a library building, with retro and nostalgic tones, the whole space is simple and mysterious. The museum collects 30,000 volumes of 20,000 kinds of urban, historical, humanistic, historical records and other documents in Sichuan, especially in the Chengdu area, and more than 11,000 special documents, which is the most complete document center for the study of Tianfu culture.

In addition to the permanent Tianfu Humanities and Arts Library, there is also a reading room for visually impaired readers and a children's reading center equipped with rounded corner seats to protect children and visually impaired readers. In addition, the library is also equipped with an audio library, so that readers can scan the code to listen to books.

After the opening and operation of the Tianfu Humanities and Arts Library, the Theme Branch Library, the Wen weng Road Library of Chengdu Library will continue to operate normally. Xiao Ping said that the Tianfu Humanities and Arts Library is mainly based on reading promotion, and in the future, Wenweng Road Library will continue to play the functions of the century-old library collection, borrowing and think tank to meet the information needs of the whole society.
