Shushan District
The first thing that catches the eye is the 8-meter-high Shushan District, all the books on it are real books, readers can borrow books below the 6th floor of the bookshelf, and the entire Shushan area is mainly dominated by literary and artistic books.
The 1st floor of Shushan is a special reading area created by the library. The bibliography on the booth is regularly recommended by professional librarians, experts and scholars to display different types of high-quality books, the 2nd and 3rd floors are mainly literature and art books, and the 3.5 floors are music and plant book areas, and the entire book mountain has been built into a living aesthetic space integrating reading, leisure, aesthetics, art experience and cultural exchanges.
Along the trail of the terraced reading and leisure area, on the 2nd and 3rd floors, you can relax and read in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows by the lake, which is the best location for the whole museum.
In the leisure reading area inside the three staircases, desks, sofas, chairs, etc. are unique and are specially designed for the Tianfu Humanities and Arts Library. Children's Reading Center is currently the largest children's reading and activity center in Chengdu Public Library, with an area of more than 1,000 square meters, divided into picture book maze, parent-child center, homework garden, small theater, children's lending area and other parts.

The museum collects 30,000 volumes of 20,000 kinds of urban, historical, humanistic, historical records and other documents in Sichuan, especially in the Chengdu area, and more than 11,000 special documents, including manuscripts of Ba Jin, Shu Ting, Wang Meng, Ah Lai, Wang Guozhen, Zang Kejia and other famous artists, and is the most complete documentation center for studying Tianfu culture.
Sinology Seminar
The Sinology Seminar is a traditional Chinese studies space specially created by the library to promote traditional culture, integrating ancient book reading, sinology research, traditional cultural activities and research, and carries out many activities related to China's excellent traditional culture.
Library of Ancient Books
Located in the Ancient Books Department on the first floor of the library, there are more than 110,000 volumes of various ancient books and Republic of China line bound books, which are divided into three categories: ancient books (including Republic of China line bound books), Republic of China paperback books, and new editions of photocopied ancient books. According to the traditional classification of ancient books, the collection of ancient books is divided into five parts: classics, history, sub-collections, collections, and clusters, of which the history department has the largest number of books, accounting for about a quarter of the total. The characteristic documents in the collection of ancient books mainly include Chengdu local historical materials, genealogies, Sichuan opera singing books, and works by famous people of Bashu culture.
In the ancient book storehouse, wooden bookcases are displayed in an orderly manner. It is understood that the library is built in strict accordance with the standard of "Basic Requirements for the Library of Ancient Books and Special Collections", the entire library is constant temperature and humidity, and the light source is a cold light source without ultraviolet rays. The bookcase used to place ancient books is made of tenon structure and lacquer craftsmanship of classical Chinese traditional furniture, the raw material of the bookcase is precious nan wood, and the cabinet body is carved with pandas and bamboo, which is very Tianfu culture.
Lecture Hall
The lecture hall has a total of nearly 400 seats, and many lectures and large-scale activities of the library will be held here in the future, and nearly 2,000 "online" and "offline" reading promotion activities are planned to be carried out every year.
After the opening and operation of the Tianfu Humanities and Arts Library, the theme branch library, the Wenweng Road Library of Chengdu Library will continue to operate. Xiao Ping, director of Chengdu Library, said that Wenweng Road Library will continue to upgrade its functional layout, such as adding a "celebrity book library" and creating a digital reading experience area. In the future, the two museums will complement each other in parallel, and the two cultural spaces will reflect each other.
