Fashion art has always belonged to the genre that attracts young people easily because of its vivid colors, romantic and childlike cuteness and dreamy healing characteristics, and the works exhibited in this exhibition are also the same: huge, two-petaled red heart-shaped balloons; fairies in flower bushes, anthropomorphic cats and other small animals... Envelop the audience in an atmosphere reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland.
Wu Yongqiang, a professor at the School of Art of Sichuan University and a well-known art critic, was also invited to attend the opening ceremony, telling Red Star News that trend art is also a major branch of contemporary art, and in recent years there has been a trend of gradually transforming from a relatively niche "subculture" to one of the mainstream cultures favored by the public.
"In the past, trend art has mainly accompanied hip-hop culture in the West, but in Asia, it has gradually merged with Japanese otaku culture, showing a naïve and cute state."
