Recently, we obtained a set of spy photos of the new Dongfeng Citroen C5 AIRCROSS from social media, as a mid-term redesign, the new car mainly made some minor adjustments to the appearance and interior. It is reported that the new car will be officially released at the Beijing Auto Show held in April this year.
In terms of appearance, the front of the new car is covered with heavy camouflage, which shows the specific details. However, from the overall outline, the new car will adopt the same design as the overseas version of the model, and the overall front of the car will be heavier. Referring to the overseas version of the model, the design of the two through-line LED light strips in the middle of the new car is very eye-catching, and the two sides are also equipped with "fangs" type air intakes.
The overall shape of the rear is still the same as the current model, mainly for the lights and tail markings. As a reference, the internal structure of the taillights of the overseas version of the model is more exquisite, and the visual effect is more outstanding after lighting.
The interior also adopts the overall design of the overseas version of the model, using a new interior style, equipped with a 10-inch floating central control screen, and a large number of physical buttons are left below to facilitate operation. Unlike the overseas version, the test vehicle still uses the gear handle of the current model, while the overseas version uses a more compact hidden design.
In terms of power, the new car is still expected to use 1.6T and 1.8T engines, the maximum power of the 1.6T engine is 125kW (170 horsepower), the peak torque is 250Nm, and the maximum power of the 1.8T engine is 155kW (211 horsepower), the peak torque is 300Nm, and the whole series matches the 8-stop automatic transmission. At the same time, plug-in hybrid models are expected to be retained.
