Recently, the HKSAR Government held an online VIP roundtable with the theme of "The Development of Hong Kong's Cultural and Arts Industry and the Opportunities for Auction Houses", which aims to introduce and share the relevant policy advantages of the HKSAR Government in cultural art auction transactions, promote the development of Hong Kong's cultural and artistic industries, and further consolidate Hong Kong's important position as the world's second largest cultural art auction market. The meeting was presided over by Chief Executive Carrie Lam and three senior officials of the HKSAR Government, and attended by 20 well-known cultural and art auction-related enterprises, including sotheby's, Christie's and Phillips, the world's three major auction houses. Kaifeng Jingkai Digital Culture Investment Co., Ltd., the operating unit of the International Art Bonded Warehouse in the Henan Free Trade Zone, as the only invited enterprise in the Mainland, conducted in-depth exchanges on relevant issues with Chief Executive Lam and international counterparts through the online platform set up by the SAR Government.
At the meeting, Chief Executive Carrie Lam pointed out in a dialogue with general manager Guo Yilin of the company that strengthening the cooperation between Hong Kong and the central region in cultural services and trade, "serving the overall situation and achieving win-win cooperation", is the focus and foothold of cooperation between the two sides.
Since its establishment, the Henan Free Trade Zone International Art Bonded Warehouse has continued to maintain business dealings related to the cultural artworks of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and in October 2021, Hong Kong Xianghui Auction Co., Ltd. and bonded warehouse jointly held the "2021 Cultural Relics and Art Auction", which attracted many collectors and enthusiasts, and also established a good commercial influence and reputation in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
According to incomplete statistics, in 2021, the Henan Free Trade Zone International Art Bonded Warehouse will import about 22 million US dollars of calligraphy and paintings and other works of art from Hong Kong, and about 43 million US dollars of exported calligraphy and paintings and other works of art. On the basis of establishing a smooth cultural and art industry exchange channel with Hong Kong, Kaifeng Jingkai Digital Culture Investment Co., Ltd., the operating unit of the International Art Bonded Warehouse in Henan Free Trade Zone, participated in the online "CHIEF Executive VIP Roundtable" as the only invited enterprise in the mainland.
In 2021, at the second plenary (expanded) meeting of the eleventh session of the Henan Provincial Party Committee and the economic work conference of the provincial party committee, Lou Yangsheng, secretary of the Henan Provincial Party Committee, clarified in the report the deployment of the Kaifeng area of the pilot free trade zone to "deeply study the cultural industry opening pilot zone".
