The Hong Kong Health Code is open to citizens of Guangzhou and Shenzhen

For mainland citizens, holding the "health code" has become the norm of life, and recently, the Hong Kong SAR government has also actively prepared for customs clearance between the two places, launched a new "Hong Kong health code", and launched the "Hong Kong version of AlipayHK" and Alipay APP simultaneously.

At present, guangzhou and Shenzhen residents can apply by selecting the "Hong Kong, China" region on the "Health Code" page of the Alipay APP, and users in other regions will gradually open up. On 10 December, the Hong Kong SAR Government announced the launch of the "Hkcom Code", which requires users and Residents of Hong Kong to log on to the "HK Code" website to complete the application, registration and use. In less than a week, the Hong Kong version of Alipay and Alipay launched the "Hong Kong Kang Code" service on the APP, which is convenient for users to apply for and use directly in the APP, which will help residents of the two places to clear customs more smoothly in the future.

Yang Peng, vice president of Ant Group, introduced that with the support of the Hong Kong SAR government, the Alipay team spent a short time to quickly complete the research and development, testing and launch of "Hong Kong KangMa" in Alipay APP and AlipayHK. "On the one hand, it draws on the successful experience of the mainland health code, and on the other hand, it also reflects the technical capabilities of Alipay." We hope to use technology to bring more convenience to the lives of citizens. Yang Peng said that in the future, Alipay will also help more people's livelihood services in the Greater Bay Area to facilitate the travel and interconnection of residents in the Bay Area.

With the integration of the Greater Bay Area, the exchanges between Hong Kong and mainland residents have become increasingly close. At present, residents of the Greater Bay Area can realize functions such as travel, government services and living expenses through Alipay, and the popularization and expansion of AlipayHK's services have also made the life of Hong Kong people in the Greater Bay Area more convenient. So far, AlipayHK has covered offline stores, cross-border transportation, Didi ride-hailing, shared bicycles, and buses in Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Foshan in all cities in the mainland. And all merchants in the Bay Area with Alipay logo, AlipayHK can also pay smoothly.
