Psychological counseling teachers provide psychological intervention and timely guidance to parents from many aspects. Ms. Gu's child was diagnosed with autism a few years ago, and although she has undergone positive rehabilitation, Ms. Gu has been very worried about the child's situation.
Ms. Gu's situation is not unique. Such a psychological condition not only affects the rehabilitation environment of autistic children, but also is not conducive to parents' cooperation and carrying out various rehabilitation work. Baohe District Disabled Persons' Federation launched the "Heart Guardian Star Hope" mental health project, including 15 families of autistic children in the pilot, autistic children in the rehabilitation at the same time, parents also under the leadership of professional teachers to receive psychological counseling, interactive exchanges, looking for solutions to solve the problem.
Through last year's pilot operation, the parents of these 15 children with autism have made significant changes through psychological counseling and intervention. In the next step, on the basis of last year's experience, the Baohe District Disabled Persons' Federation will further refine its services and attract more parents of autistic children to participate. At the same time, as the first project in the province, the project will be promoted in the province as a typical case of the construction of the social psychological service system.
