The WhatsApp UWP beta is separate from the WhatsApp desktop app and has some improvements over the original desktop app. Unlike web-based desktop apps, WhatsApp UWP has been completely recoded to support multiple devices, and it can make calls independently of the phone's connection.

The Interface of the WhatsApp UWP app is based on WinUI, but it's also inspired by the retired version of Windows Phone. The cleaner interface is consistent with the web version of WhatsApp, and thanks to the Mica mica material integrated on the app's title bar, it matches the look and feel of Windows 11.

Another cool feature of the latest UWP update is the support for the embedded emoji selection tool. Users can now enter "wave" to select the appropriate emoji from the selection tool. In addition to emojis, you can also use Windows 11's graffiti feature to draw a picture with a graffiti board and upload it as a picture.

Users can now try out the app on Windows 10 and Windows 11 through the Microsoft Store.
