A long time ago, the Buddha was practicing on the mountain, but he happened to meet Agrima, a great demon who was murderous. The demon head said to the Buddha, "The world says that your mana is boundless, but you still fell into my hands today, and it seems that the Buddha is nothing remarkable, and I am going to cut off your head today so that the world can see who is more powerful." However, the Buddha's words actually made the bloodthirsty half-life demon take refuge in the Buddha's door on the spot.

The Buddha knew that he was not his opponent, but he still said with the same face: "Before I die, I have a wish, if you can help me to complete it, I will give you my head without complaint or regret." ”

Agrima was very pleased to hear this, and agreed that as long as he did not spare his life, he could still help him fulfill his last wish. The Buddha pointed to the peach tree next to him and said, "Please cut down this branch." ”

Agrima dropped his knife in his hand, and the branch soon broke, and he threw the broken branch to the Buddha.

"Now you can give me your head!"

Who knows the Buddha picked up the broken branch with pity and lamented, "My wish is not over, and now I want you to grow this branch back into the tree." ”

Agrima listened with great disdain, and ridiculed the Buddha, saying, "You are such a madman, and a fool knows that the branches that have been cut down will not grow back, are you playing with me?" ”

Only then did the Buddha become serious, and he walked up to Agrima with a broken branch in his hand and gave him a compassionate instruction:

"You are so pitiful, you think that if you master violence, you are powerful enough to do everything, and you can even take the lives of others at will. But destruction, killing and destruction are the easiest things in the world, and anyone can do it as long as they break through the bottom line. What is really powerful in this world is to give love and hope to all beings, to heal the wounds of others, and to create new life. You can do it. ”

After saying this, the Buddha closed his eyes and did not make any resistance, but he did not expect that the great demon Agrima could not get his hands on it, and it was only at this moment that he understood what was truly powerful. He knelt before the Buddha and begged for forgiveness, and later Agrima became a disciple of the Buddha, learning to pass on life and love.

There is a Chinese poem: "Four hundred and eighty-four in the southern dynasty, how many buildings are in the smoke and rain." "In an age of upheaval and killing, the emergence of Buddhism has brought comfort to the fearful and empty hearts of Chinese. The many classics of the Buddhist family have also brought the dawn to countless beings in the long river of history, and even the national character of the Chinese people also carries the pure and simple goodness of the Buddhist family, and countless people regard cultivation as a compulsory course in life.

In today's society, the survival of the flesh is easy and relaxed, while the spiritual world is facing the most severe test in human history. In the era of underdeveloped networks, people will pay more attention to the field of book art to explore the meaning of their own existence and development.

The Diamond Sutra is a collection of Buddhist scriptures, and all those who study Buddhism start from it, which records the essence of Mahayana Buddhism and enables people to achieve the realm of enlightenment.

However, modern society is highly developed in material, and the desires of the human heart are infinitely stimulated, and many people will be lost in the whirlpool of this desire, or simply do not want to throw themselves to the Network, throw themselves to meaningless short videos is enough. But the failure of the mind is the most complete failure, and when you are wrapped in confusion, you are one step away from the practice of being a human being.

Therefore, for modern people, it is necessary to read a little Buddhist classics. The world we live in is very strong and arrogant, as powerful as the atomic bomb can destroy a country in minutes, arrogant to the point that most of it is wrapped in useless fragmented information, and it is difficult to think about the value of human beings and the value of life.

But if you directly read the Buddhist classic "Diamond Sutra", you probably can't read anything. Mr. Nan Huaijin, a master of traditional Chinese studies, spent his life studying Buddhism and understanding life, and only then did he write a book called "What the Diamond Sutra Says".

This book turns obscure classics into vivid life techniques, and the opening volume is beneficial, and every lost person, confused person, and painful person can find the answer to their own life in it. This practice of reading the Scriptures is the greatest dissolution of desires, the greatest respect for life, and it is also a journey of wisdom that cleanses one's own clear soul.
