Michael Kirsch will have overall responsibility for Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macau. Michael Kirsch is currently President and CEO of Porsche Japan. Dr. Boyu Yan, President and CEO of Porsche China, will be the Head of Sales for audi brands in Europe, including Germany.
According to public information, Michael Kirsch has many years of experience in China market management, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Porsche China from 2012 to 2016, responsible for sales, dealer development and direct business, and since 2019, Michael Kirsch has been President and CEO of Porsche Japan, after three years he was mainly responsible for the Porsche Korea market.
From the data point of view, in 2021, Porsche's annual global car sales exceeded 300,000 for the first time, an increase of 11% year-on-year. Among them, the Chinese market became Porsche's largest single market in the world for the seventh consecutive year, with a total of about 96,000 new vehicles delivered, an increase of 8% year-on-year.
