Porsche China's President and CEO will take office in June

Porsche has officially announced the appointment of Michael Kirsch as President and Ceo of Porsche China with effect from 1 June 2022. In the future, Mr. Kirsch will have overall responsibility for Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macau. Currently, Mr. Michael Kirsch is President and CEO of Porsche Japan.

Mr. Kirsch has been President and CEO of Porsche Japan since 2019, having previously spent three years at the helm of Porsche in Korea. Kirsch is also back in China, having been Ceo of Porsche China from 2012 to 2016, responsible for sales, dealer development and direct operations. During this period, Mr. Kirsch also personally and accumulated a wealth of experience and deep insight into the Chinese market. In addition, Mr. Kirsch has held various management positions at BMW and The International Hotels Group.

At the same time, the Audi Group has appointed Dr. Boyu Yan, current president and CEO of Porsche China, as the head of sales for the Audi brand in Europe (including Germany). Dr. Yan Boyu has been fully responsible for Porsche's business in Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions since July 2018, and has contributed significantly to the rapid development of the Porsche brand in China.

Under the leadership of Dr. Yan Boyu, Porsche has continued to expand its footprint in China, investing more in digitalization, electrification and innovation. The Porsche China Digital Team was established in 2019 and became porsche digital technology in early 2021. Dr. Yan Also laid a solid foundation for the establishment of a Porsche R&D branch in China, which will be officially launched in 2022.
