Recently, some overseas media have exposed spy photos of BMW's M5 replacement model. From the photos, this performance sedan, which is still in the early stages of development, is not only highly camouflaged, but also the stickers of the Hybrid Test Vehicle can be seen on the door. Compared with the current model, the front face design of the new generation M5 is more aggressive, and although the camouflage grille on the photo is covered with metal mesh, it can still be distinguished that its size is significantly larger than the current model. In addition, the test car is also equipped with a new style of black 5-spoke rim, larger size brake calipers and brake discs, from the side photos, the test car ground clearance is significantly lower than the current ordinary 5 series.
At the moment, we don't know any details about the powertrain of the next-generation M5 model. It is speculated that the car may be equipped with a twin-turbocharger-equipped S63 V8 engine and an electric motor will be added as a power auxiliary. It is reported that the total power of its powertrain may reach 559 kW (750 hp).
