Live Bar September 12, 2021 The 2021 Basketball Hall of Fame Awards ceremony is underway, and Bill Russell has been selected as a coach this time.

Unable to rush to the ceremony due to his health, he recorded his acceptance speech at home, especially thanks to Cardinal, Stern, Bryant and his wife.

"I wouldn't have been here without the help of my good friend 'Cardinal' Auerbach [russell's player-era manager]. He was the first guy who wanted me to coach the Celtics, and he made me wonder, can I coach Bill Russell, coaching the Celtics was the most challenging experience I've ever had.

I would also like to thank two people who are important in my life, and I am also happy to play an important role in their lives. We miss these two important people, David Stern and Kobe Bryant. I would also like to thank my wife, Jenny, for her support over the years, thank you all. Russell said.

In his coaching career, Bill Russell coached the Boston Celtics, Seattle Supersonics and Sacramento Kings for eight seasons, 341 wins and 290 losses in the regular season and 34 wins and 27 losses in the playoffs. He won the 1968 and 1969 NBA championships with the Boston Celtics, during which time he was a player and coach for the Celtics.
