In December 2021, Yang was sued by his wife at the Qingshan District People's Court in Wuhan City, demanding a divorce and giving custody of the two children to himself.

During the trial, the two children revealed to the judge that Yang used words to suppress him every day, and the two children were not willing to be close to their father. Yang's wife also said that her husband usually scolds the child at every turn. The judge in charge of the case held that in this case, it is not only a family marriage relationship, but more importantly, the protection of two minor children, and a good family environment can promote the healthy growth of children.

On February 11, the judge in charge invited a family education instructor and invited Yang and his wife and two children to the hospital, and issued a "Family Education Order" to Yang in person, ruling that he should correct the education method. The on-site family education instructor made family education guidance for the problems in the parent-child relationship between Yang and the two children, and gave targeted suggestions.

After the end of the family education guidance, the judge in charge told Yang that the court would visit yang regularly to supervise his implementation of the Family Education Order, and would continue to provide them with family education guidance and help them to repair the parent-child relationship.
