Microsoft: Win10 20H2 version will be discontinued in May, please upgrade as soon as possible

IT House February 11 news, Microsoft earlier today informed users that Windows 10 version 20H2 (also known as the October 2020 update) will end service on May 10 this year, please upgrade as soon as possible.

Windows 10, version 20H2 was released in September 2020 with a number of changes. Microsoft said that the date of discontinuation affects the home, professional, education, and workstation versions, and Microsoft encourages users to update to the next major version.

IT House understands that Microsoft also recently said that it is mandatory to update eligible 20H2 devices to the 21H2 version to train its own ML update model.

For users who failed to update, Microsoft explained that the network time is not long enough, the official recommendation, the device needs to be connected to the Internet for at least 2 hours continuously (Note: continuous connection), after the update is released, it also needs to accumulate 6 hours of Internet connection to be able to get reliable Windows updates.
