Sony's Horizon: Desperate West promises to upgrade for free, but the PS4/PS5 editions have different prices

According to The Verge, the price of Sony's Horizon: Desperate West seems to be in question, with the PS4 version costing $59.99 and the PS5 version costing $69.99.

As you can see on the purchase page, Sony lists two standard editions, both labeled PS4 and PS5, while the cheaper version is only marked with PS4 in the name of the game below. If you don't know the PS5 players who have been officially promised, they will naturally buy the $69.99 version, which will cost an additional $10.

In addition, the official page does not list the PS4 version can be upgraded to the PS5 version for free, and Sony did not immediately respond to the request for comment.

IT House learned that Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, had previously promised that Horizon: Desperate West would be able to upgrade for free, but the price list price had not changed to the same.

Sony has also promised that first-party exclusive cross-platform games (newly released on PS4 and PS5) at PlayStation will offer a $10 digital upgrade option from PS4 to PS5. Available for the next generation of God of War and GT Racing 7, as well as all other exclusive cross-platform PS4 and PS5 games published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
