Guerrilla has released another patch for Horizon Forbidden West that will see more sweeping changes.

"We just released the 1.08 patch. Thanks to all the players who used the support game and shared their issues, please continue to do so to resolve any issues you have in Horizon: Desperate in the West," Guerrilla wrote.

While the 1.08 patch does include some general fixes, such as improvements to NPC animation and fixes to repetitive music, what caught my attention was a fix to "Aloy's Breathing Sound" in the game's Thebes-based movie clip scene.

In addition to no longer having heavy gasps, this patch will also fix issues such as making Aloy not appear wet when she comes out of the water.

In addition, Kotallo will no longer become unresponsive when reloaded from a particular archive.

While the patch will include multiple visual improvements to shadows and clouds, as well as graphics fixes during a quick trip, it still doesn't fix the strange flickering issues players notice in the game.

However, Guerrilla's team is "continuing to investigate the reported graphics issues about flash, sharpening, and screen saturation," so hopefully this issue should be resolved soon.
