One day, the drone will be ready to travel freely through the sky. The helicopter field has been doing this for many years, so it makes real sense to start automated air transport. Bell Helicopter Air Taxi is a glimpse into this not-too-distant future, with four-seaters in connected, streamlined cabins designed to adapt to work and relaxation. According to the company, the first air taxi flights will be launched with pilots in a 1+3 configuration and will operate fully autonomously thereafter. The cabin is currently on display at CES as part of an augmented reality experience, allowing for one of several scenarios where an air taxi might be preferable to traditional ground transportation.
