Yingbu is a capricious villain who first betrayed Xiang Yu and later betrayed Liu Bang, which is a Chu Han version of Lü Bu.

Yingbu once broke the law and was sentenced to appeasement, so he was also called Tuobu. Later, Yingbu followed Xiang Yu against Qin and became a general under Xiang Yu, and when Xiang Yu divided the world, Yingbu was crowned the King of Jiujiang.

In 205 BC, Xiang Yu attacked the State of Qi and asked Yingbu to lead an army to assist, but Yingbu claimed that he was ill and could not go, so he only asked his generals to lead thousands of people to follow Xiang Yu to attack the State of Qi. Xiang Yu resented Yingbu in his heart and sent people to rebuke Yingbu several times, and Yingbu felt panicked. Xiang Yu felt that Yingbu was still useful to him, so he did not directly send troops to attack Yingbu.

Liu Bang wanted to win yingbu over and make yingbu submit to him, so he sent lobbyists to lobby Yingbu. Sui He relied on his three inches of incorruptible tongue to say that Yingbu had moved Yingbu, and Yingbu killed the emissary sent by Xiang Yu and decided to betray Xiang Yu. He raised an army to attack Xiang Yu, and Xiang Yu sent a dragon to attack, defeating Yingbu.

In 203 BC, Liu Bang made Yingbu the King of Huainan, and Yingbu became a foreign king of the Han Dynasty.

In 196 BC, Lü Hou killed Han Xin, the Marquis of Huaiyin, at Changle Palace, and Yingbu became frightened. In the summer of the same year, Liu Bang killed Peng Yue, chopped Peng Yue into meat sauce, and packed the meat sauce and gave it to various princes.

After Yingbu received the meat sauce, his heart was even more frightened, and he felt that Liu Bang would soon do something to himself. He made a secret deployment and strengthened his defenses.

Yingbu suspects that his concubine and subordinate Benhe have a leg and wants to capture Benhe. Fearing that he would be killed by Yingbu, Ben He fled to Chang'an in a stagecoach, telling Liu Bang that Yingbu was plotting rebellion and suggesting that Liu Bang kill Yingbu.

Liu Bang hesitated and asked Xiao He what to do, Xiao He thought that Yingbu would not do anything to rebel, and Ben He had a vendetta against Yingbu before he came to sue Yingbu. Xiao He suggested that Liu Bang first put Ben He in a big prison, and then send someone to Yingbu to check whether Yingbu was really plotting rebellion.

After Ben He fled, Yingbu was terrified, and he saw that Liu Bang had sent envoys to come, believing that Liu Bang already knew that he was going to rebel. Yingbu killed Ben He's family, rebelled, and betrayed Liu Bang.

Before the two armies, Liu Bang questioned why Yingbu was plotting rebellion, and Yingbu said that he also wanted to be emperor. Yingbu was later defeated and killed on his way out. (Image from the Internet)
