In the film "Heroine" directed by Hu Jinquan, Gu Shengzhai offered a plan to deal with the People and Horses of the East Factory, and after the plan worked, Gu Shengzhai felt very satisfied and proud of himself. But when he saw the corpses in the room (the casualties brought about by the plan), he was horrified, pointing directly to the so-called military divisions (those who planned behind the scenes), and did not really understand their influence on the war. Ironically, after the Dongchang people and horses were repelled, the senior monk Huiyuan appeared with his disciples to collect the corpses, and Gu Shengzhai did not help the Buddhist disciples bury the corpses, but only cared about Yang Huizhen's whereabouts (and soon forgot the heavy casualties caused by his own plan). Gu Shengzhai is a decent character in the film, but he always feels that the director seems to use this role to criticize the cruelty of war and the ruthlessness of people (strong adaptability).
