In 1977, a miner in Siberia used a bulldozer to stumble upon a well-preserved carcass of a young mammoth from the permafrost, carried by two men.
He named it "Dima" after a nearby creek and died about 40,000 years ago, at the age of 6-8 months. His stomach still had his mother's milk left.
