The adolescent depression screening platform will be launched next year and will be open to the whole society free of charge

On February 9, upstream news reporters learned from iFLYTEK that iFLYTEK announced that it would release a screening platform for adolescent depression in 2023, which will be open to the whole society free of charge.

The mental health of children and adolescents has attracted much attention, and at present, the Ministry of Education has clearly proposed that depression screening be included in the health examination of students.

Liu Qingfeng, Chairman of iFLYTEK, said that iFLYTEK is committed to providing AI capability support for the mental health of children and adolescents across the country. As one of the three major products created in the first phase of the "iFLYTEK Super Brain 2030 Plan" (2022-2023), the iFLYTEK Adolescent Depression Screening Platform is based on a variety of technologies such as multimodal perception, understanding, and natural dialogue interaction, and has functions such as multimodal interaction screening, high-precision comprehensive decision-making, more active intervention prevention and control, and full life cycle management to help children and adolescents to conduct full investigation.

Building a screening platform for adolescent depression is inseparable from the exploration of AI in brain science and brain-like research and the learning of depression knowledge. Liu Qingfeng said that iFLYTEK, Beijing Normal University and other units jointly undertake the "Brain Science and Brain-like Research" 2030 major project "Research on brain intellectual development cohorts of Chinese school-age children", cooperate with Beijing Anding Hospital to build an authoritative multimodal knowledge base for depression, carry out research on multimodal depression diagnosis and disease assessment based on speech, expression and other multimodal depression, and accumulate a rich technical foundation.

"The healthy growth of children is a very important proposition for a family and a country." Liu Qingfeng said that artificial intelligence will be an important engine to promote social progress in the next decade, and iFLYTEK will continue to use artificial intelligence to benefit society and care for the healthy growth of adolescents and children.
