Less than two years after the launch of the third-generation BMW X6 model, work on the mid-term revamp has begun. Since the model is still in the early stages of development, there are not many changes in the shape except for some dark headlights. For mid-term revamps, it is expected that there will be adjustments including front and rear surrounds and air intake grilles. There is no word on whether the X6 will adopt the "big nostril" grille design of the BMW 4 Series.
The changes in the car are the most attractive parts, including new digital dashboards and infotainment systems. These displays are curved and may be the same as the upcoming iX. If the same, then the size should be a 12.3-inch LCD meter and a 14.9-inch infotainment system screen.
Elsewhere, the gear lever has been replaced by a button and a park button. This makes the appearance more streamlined, but it is not intuitive to operate. According to foreign media, the prototype car has a label labeled "Air conditioning control is not working", and it is expected that the air conditioning operation panel will also be changed, and new components may be added later.
The power part, likely to use a 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder turbocharged engine, has a maximum power of 250 kW and a maximum torque of 450 N·m. There is also a 4.4-liter V8 turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 390 kW and a maximum torque of 750 N·m.
