In 2022, the traditional luxury brand BBA has accelerated the layout of electric products, and Audi has only launched two electric vehicles in the domestic market, Q2L e-tron and e-tron, which are based on fuel platforms.
Recently, Audi finally announced the new model plan to be launched this year, which will have 2 pure electric SUVs, 1 pure electric sports car and 1 medium and large SUV, and today the professor will take stock of these blockbuster new cars.
Compared with the Q2L e-tron using the MQB platform, the Q4 e-tron is based on Audi's modular MEB electric platform to build, and will open pre-sales in China in the first half of 2022, the main competition is BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQC.
In terms of body size, the Q4 e-tron has a length, width and height of 4585/1845/1599mm and a wheelbase of 2765mm, which is similar in size to the Volkswagen ID.4 positioned compact SUV and is smaller than the two competitors.
The interior has 24.8 litres of storage space and 520 litres of trunk capacity, and the rear seats can be expanded to 1490 litres.
The wind resistance coefficient of the Q4 e-tron is 0.28Cd, and the wind resistance coefficient of the reference BMW iX3 is 0.29Cd, and the small wind resistance is helpful for improving the endurance.
In terms of power, the reference overseas version has three power versions: 35 e-tron, 40 e-tron, and 50 e-tron quattro.
The domestic version will be equipped with a larger capacity battery pack of 84.1kWh, the maximum cruising range will reach 550km, and the rear-drive and four-wheel drive versions are also available. With Max DC's 100kW charging power, charging from 5% to 80% takes only 41 minutes.
Given that the price of the Q4 e-tron in Europe is more expensive than the Audi Q3, and the domestic price of the Volkswagen ID.4 is in the range of 190,000-270,000, the price of the new car is expected to be around 300,000.
In the past, if you wanted to buy Audi's 7-seat model, there was only the Q7, the only option, but its starting price of 700,000 would deter many people. However, the emergence of the Q5 e-tron has lowered the threshold for Audi's 7-seater model, and the current pre-sale price range for new cars is 400,000-520,000.
Unlike the Audi Q4 e-tron, the Q5 e-tron currently belongs to the Chinese market exclusively, just like there is a Volkswagen ID.6 in China and no reason abroad. The Q5 e-tron is also based on the MEB platform and has basically the same battery capacity as the Q4 e-tron.
In terms of power, the Q5 e-tron offers 40 e-tron rear-wheel drive and 50 e-tron quattro all-wheel drive respectively.
The maximum power of the single-motor version is 225kW, and the maximum power of the dual-motor version is 300kW, which is close to the parameters of the Volkswagen ID.6, the former has a CLTC operating range of 560km, and the latter is 520km.
BMW's SUVs have X5, X6, X7, while Audi only has Q5 and Q7 but no Q6, which makes Audi lack a transitional product with a price of 400,000-650,000 yuan in China.
The good news is that the Q6, which positions medium-sized and large SUVs, is expected to be officially unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year.
Q6 is based on the same MLB Evo platform as Q7 and is expected to offer a 7-seat layout. In terms of body size, we can refer to the Volkswagen Tuon, which is similarly positioned, with a length, width and height of 5052/1989/1773mm, and a wheelbase of 2980mm.
In terms of power, the Q6 will be equipped with a 2.0T engine and a 3.0T V6 engine + 48V light mix system, the transmission system is matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and some models will have a four-wheel drive system. Referring to the Audi A7L with the same powertrain, its maximum power is 245Ps and 340Ps, respectively.
The most direct competitors of Q6 will be domestic BMW X5L and the standard 3.0T Changan Lincoln Aviator and other models, the former's product power will be further enhanced, and the starting price of the latter is much cheaper, so Q6 is still under a lot of pressure.
The e-tron GT will be available this year after its debut at last year's Guangzhou Auto Show. It is built using the same J1 platform as the Porsche Taycan, with a high-voltage fast charge of 800V, positioned as a 5-door GT sports car.
The e-tron GT has a drag coefficient of 0.24Cd, while the Porsche Taycan has a 0.22Cd coefficient. As a sports car, it is very necessary to have such a low wind resistance performance.
In terms of power, the e-tron GT has a maximum power of 238Ps in the front motor and 435Ps in the rear motor, with an acceleration time of 0-100km/h of 4.1 seconds.
Under the WLTP standard, the e-tron GT has a range of 487 km, which is more than the Porsche Taycan's 450 km.
