Rio de Janeiro, Feb. 6 (People's Daily Online) -- On the evening of February 5, the cloud performance of "Sino-Colombian Friendship - Greetings from Shanghai" was broadcast on Colombian National Television, and more than 80,000 Colombian and Caribbean people enjoyed this large-scale literary and art evening that integrates various forms of art performance such as song and dance, opera, acrobatics, instrumental music, and mime through television screens and network television.

Co-organized by the Chinese Embassy in Colombia, the Ministry of Culture of Colombia, The Colombian National Television, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, is a cultural feast tailored by the Shanghai Radio and Television Group (SMG) to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia, the Spring Festival of the Year of the Tiger and the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics.
The evening brought together shanghai well-known art troupes such as Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Chinese Orchestra, Shanghai Song and Dance Troupe, Shanghai Peking Opera House, etc., starting from the Guangfulin Cultural Site of "The Root of Shanghai and the Source of Haipai", and showed the audience the shanghai urban style of "Hai Na Bai Chuan, pursuing excellence, enlightened wisdom, and humility" to the audience in turn. On the stage, masters gathered and celebrities gathered, and the famous conductor Yu Long, the ballet star Tan Yuanyuan, the representative inheritor of the "Intangible Cultural Heritage" Shanghai school paper-cutting, Li Shoubai, and the street dance world champion Xiao Jie performed on the same stage.

The vivid paper man and the dynamic dancers move and stand still, and the cultural collision is refreshing; "Phoenix Dance" combines the na and the electroacoustic band to highlight the openness and pursuit of contemporary Haipai folk music; the dance "Silk Road Dream Search" presents a beautiful Silk Road picture scroll that has lasted for two thousand years, triggering the reverie of China and the world, peace and dreams, unity and friendship.
Ruth, the former Colombian consul general in Shanghai, said that when she saw the familiar scene of Shanghai, she couldn't help but burst into tears. Thanks to the Chinese Embassy and artists for bringing this high-quality program, it has opened a cultural window for people who are unable to experience Shanghai's urban life due to the epidemic and have difficulty in experiencing Shanghai's urban life, and shown a model for the development of the metropolis for win-win cooperation between Colombia and China.
