Soon, the "Bazaar One Hour After Class" aesthetic education public welfare project course was launched in the school one after another, sweeping away Teacher Zhang's doubts. As the children's Chinese and mathematics and art teachers, after studying several double-teacher art classes together, she was full of emotions - facing the students, she always hoped that they would work harder and do better. In the first class, the art "homework" submitted by the children even made her slightly ashamed: "The lines are intermittent, the drawing paper is not clean, this is called 'painting'!" However, the teacher of the double-teacher class gave each child a positive and warm evaluation, encouraging them to continue to draw seriously. Watching the students who usually had little interest in art classes reluctantly walk out of the Basha classroom, breaking their fingers and looking forward to the next class, Teacher Zhang suddenly had a deeper understanding of patience, appreciation and encouragement.

Project Introduction

The "Bazaar One Hour After School" aesthetic education public welfare project aims to alleviate and improve the problem of uneven distribution of educational resources through the development of aesthetic education courses, the cultivation of rural aesthetic education teachers, and the provision of aesthetic education teaching equipment, so that more rural children can receive the influence of aesthetic education and help the development of rural aesthetic education.

As of October 2021, the project has transformed and put into use the Bazaar aesthetic education classrooms in 403 rural schools in 16 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, supplementing and enriching the children's aesthetic education life by carrying out graded aesthetic education courses such as art, reading and chorus in the aesthetic education classrooms.

Aesthetic education is not only a discipline and an education, but also a spiritual power that will hold everyone tightly and rush to the future together. In the future, students will meet surprises and better selves in this magical aesthetic education classroom.

If the Basha classroom is a gift of beauty, then everyone who "opens" it will be the happiest person. Soon after the classroom opened, a curious sixth-grader, Akira (pseudonym), was welcomed. When I first met him, he was standing at the door of the classroom twisting and turning, looking at the door. "Come in, kid." Although there was no art class for the sixth graders, Mr. Zhang still warmly beckoned Zhao Zhao to come in and read the book and play. Unexpectedly, Zhao Zhao turned around in front of the bookshelf and suddenly looked at Teacher Zhang with envy in his eyes and more grievances. After several inquiries, Teacher Zhang understood that Zhao Zhao, who had not been able to take a few art classes and did not know how to draw, was very envious of the students who could come to the Basha classroom every week. "Teacher, if only I were born two years late, I would like to go to class together!" In the fairy tale, Teacher Zhang saw the children's desire for high-quality aesthetic education courses. So she applied to the school to use the Basha classroom as a fixed activity venue for the after-school art group. In this way, all the students who love to draw can walk into this magical aesthetic education space and feel beautiful.

Here, Teacher Zhang was surprised to see the "other side" of the children: the little girl who always danced and sang was actually very "addicted" to drawing, the strange boy in the class was a little cartoonist with many fantastic ideas, and the lower grade children who could not sit still could not sit still, but they could quietly concentrate on drawing a lesson, or even longer... At the annual New Year's Day parade, Teacher Zhang and the children jointly "reviewed" the achievements of aesthetic education in the past year. In previous years, the collection of works needed to be a patchwork exhibition, but this time, just a few days after the "collection order" was arranged, Teacher Zhang's desk was piled up with paintings. Compared with the past, many children's painting skills have improved significantly, and Teacher Zhang is happy to award awards to each painting, and the list of winners has expanded again and again.
